Spectacular Views

The stop is not that long, but the views are simply amazing especially in the afternoon. The view up and down the coast is worth the stop along with the photo opportunities.

    Swim and sunset with the locals
    How is this not in any guidebook or reviewed yet? Just drive 12 minutes on the pristine highway to its end, past the sign that indicates a valid drivers' license may be inspected and park before the yellow restricted line on the pier. Past that yellow line is a small set of stairs down to a mini-pier with a new stainless steel ladder for swimming. The clarity of the water was stunning and made for a lovely afternoon dip. We brought our dinner and ate in on the pier amidst the giant wave breakers and watched the sunset. We also saw locals taking a post-swim and spear-fishing shower under the yellow pipes towards the building section. Also a special thanks to the woman who, at the parking lot, told us we were in the wrong place and directed us to the other side of the island. Glad we didn't take her advice and we hope many tourists get to experience the sublime beauty of one of our favorite spots on the island.

    Yet Another Scenic Oasis
    What a marvelous place (yes, another one) to just sit, read and let the cares of the mainland melt away. As others have said, don't let anything (or anyone!) dissuade you from getting here. It's truly one of those "not to be missed" places. Highly Recommended.
