Grand and serene.
This tranquil temple is an imitation (in precise scale) of Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya (India) where Buddha enlightened. Inside the temple contains 3 Buddha statues in 3 different colors (the black one, the white one, and the golden one) and many artifacts. Recommend to walk around (outside) the pagoda to see its pattern and greenish rural view.

Wat Chong Kham Interesting Attraction outside of Lampang
We visited Wat Chong Kham and the other buildings on this site recently. It is over 100 kilometers drive on Highway 1 from Lampang through a beautiful scenic limestone mountain area. When we arrived on the site, we saw another enormous being constructed with many gold facades. A further walk into the grounds revealed an older temple building with a large water moat. Adjacent to this structure we found an iconic tall Wat building with a modern design of formed cement structures. It looked similar to a Mayan temple design from Central America. Interesting t visit and a good day trip for us from Lampang!
