Great Place - Incredible Concerts - NOT TO BE MISSED
Interesting collection of musical instruments, in a classic colonial house. Yes, fine. But every saturday at 7pm they do a charango concert and that is fantastic!! It was one of the best live shows I have ever heard and it cost all of 20 bol. There were 5 performers, including the dirrector of the museum on a double guitar, and Ernesto Cavour - the most famous charango player in Bolivia!! There were stories, jokes, some wonderful and unique guitars, and he got the audience involved to a wonderful effect. Not to be missed! It will make you want to seek out the Penas all over La Paz

An excellent trip into andean music: don't miss the friday/saturday concerts!
One of the finest locations in La Paz, a museum full of passion for the topic and interesting/interactive findings. The main sponsor, the great Maestro of charango Ernesto Cavour, one of the kindest and most talented players ever, can be found often in the premises and holds weekly concerts with other fellow players. Don't miss the opportunity!
