    An oasis in the city
This museum was a gem in the city, tucked away on a private street. I had a hard time finding the museum. But with the help of another person and a map, I found it for the afternoon open session from 3pm to 6pm. The entry is $2US. I took ave Busch micros up the hill from plaza de uyuni and got off at Busch/ Guatemala. If traveling up the hill. Guatemala will be on the right. Follow Guatemala to the end of the street and you'll see a sign "museo" on the roundabout/plaza. The museum is on the corner almost heading back down the hill. The entry is a tall black wooden gate. One must ring the bell. Inside the gate, you step into a lovely garden of tranquillity. The attendant was so nice and welcoming. He explained that the museum is privately funded and explained how each room is representative of a different culture. There were eight rooms to peruse. The signage was in Spanish but the textiles and clothing spoke for itself. There was a nice gift shop at the end which helps to keep the museum running and mostly benefit the individual maker of the craft item at fair market value. I savored this museum. It was evidently curated with love and I walked away with a deeper appreciation for the distinct indigenous cultures that fortify and sustain Bolivia.
