Great day out!
Great day out at Varissaari - Fort Elizabeth, we arrived late morning spent an hour discovering the island followed by a fantastic lunch at the restaurant. Delicious and great service. Very interesting history to the island and boat over was pleasant and quick. Would recommend a visit and would definitely return!

Nice island not roo far away from the city
Just hop into boat that takes you to Varissaari in 10 minutes from the restaurant "Tulikukko". You can park your car for free in the harbour area. The price for the boat trip is 8 euros two ways, the boat is driving once in every hour. On the island you can have a picnic on the rocks (please take your trash back on the main land with you!), go swimming, rent a stand up padling board, rent a sauna (1h 120 euros), go to restaurant or just enjoy the fresh see air. There are some old military guns to see, which is pretty interesting. Nice trip!
