Huge sports park
This sports park is a 20-hectare unique park. Few Finnish cities have a well-built sports park with diverse sports facilities right in the city center. The sports park has a frisbee golf course, tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool, Lumo Arena, ice rink, KSS Energia Arena, baseball stadium, a central sports field for athletics and football. The area is also excellent for picnics. In the middle of the park is a picturesque round pool with a fountain. There are also beautiful plantations.

Very beautiful park and good opportunities to do sports
Urheilupuisto (literally SportPark) is situated almost in the city center of Kouvola. So this is a quite popular sports park and I regularly visit there. You find beautiful flowers, large lawn areas (perfect for a picnic), a water fountain, a nice playground and free exercise equipment (an outdoor gym) there. A free skateboard park, a free disc golf park (a frisbee park), tennis courts, an architecturally interesting swimming hall, an athletics field, a Finnish baseball field and an indoor ice rink (also a lunch restaurant there) are located in Urheilupuisto, too. In winter good cross-country skiing tracks and in summer good running tracks leave from there (next to the swimming hall). There is something for everybody there, both for kids and adults.
