Parks Are the Reason to Visit Kotka

In this little town in East Coast Finland there are many beautiful parks to visit. How about packing a picnic basket or some sausage and wood or coal and grill your food by the Kymijoki river? Before or after you could make a small walk and check what is blooming this time.

    A piece of Monet's painting in the City of Kotka
    This very beautifully situated and nice stylish park is one of the "must" places to visit in Kotka. There is some parts to reminde of the famous Monet's garden in Giverny. And the river Kymi who flows queitly by.

    One of the really nice parks in Kotka
    The city of Kotka has a great gardener and it shows. This part of the city did not great at all in the past but is now one of the nicest places in Kotka. Besides, it is very close to the main highway E18 - you definitely want to stop by even though you were just passing through. The park is along the river. Swimming is possible but you have to mind the flow which can be pretty strong.
