A big surprise
For a Finnish museum this is quite big and there are loads of things to see. Personally I am not at all interrested in boats and such but this museum was still interresting and if you are into maritime stuff I am sure this will be great. I wanted to visit because I wanted to see the seamonster exhibition but that wasn't really very good.

I am sailing
Very modern museum about boats and ships. There is quite good sample of finnish boatbuilding skills and how shipping evolved to this day. All those different kind of exhibitions are also very interesting. So, if you are interested in how people sail around the world and close to the coast, go to the Maritime museum. There is also stories about the history of the Kotka region.

Very interesting attraction
Very interesting museum and exhibitions. The icebreaker Tarmo was really interesting to see although it was quite monotonic. It is also rather cramped but that should not be a surprise. The exhibitions in the museum were well organized and interesting. There is also lots to see for kids.
