Helvi Honka Memorial
Helvi Honka (1903-1993) was a honorable Principal in Kouvola. Helvi Honka was a small woman but she was a strong leader in a big school for boys. Her statue was erected in front of the city library in 2007.

Teacher statue
The statue of Helvi Honka is standing in front of the Kouvola Main Library. It was completed in 2007. Helvi Honka was a math teacher at Kouvola Lyceum. That's why the statue looks at a ball, a cylinder, and a tetrahedron. The ball has been stolen twice in 2013 and 2018 but it has been replaced.
