An exquisite freshwater lake just inland of the sea
Lake Sibaya is extraordinarily beautiful. Surrounded by dune forest, it is close to the sand track leading to the beach. This gives guests a beach experience with the opportunity to observe hippos and crocodiles very nearby - and we saw both. From the bank, the water is beautifully clear. Driving around the lake, birding in the forest as you go, is immensely fulfilling.
