Amazing

We chose to visit on the last day of the year but cars are limited so there is no over crowding. Just get there early to ensure entrance. The roads are great and offer little side loops to maximise the. Jew of animals. We had an an amazing elephant sighting on the main road with at least a dozen elephant including calves. Very special. Lots of monkeys at the beach parking areas and they can be bothersome so watch your belongings.

    Beach days
During a recent trip to Durban we wanted to stop by the beach and decided on Cape Vidal. It was a few hours drive out of our way but worth it. It was also a little trip donw memory lane as we had been here years ago on a school trip in primary. We paid a R229 fee at the entrance ( 3 adults) and stayed for about 3 hrs. The weather was great so we really go to enjoy it. The beach is clean and wasn’t packed when we were there which was really nice. Lots of monkeys roaming about so be mindful of your possessions. Also no food sold inside the park.

Variety is the spice of life
My first visit to Isimangaliso and I was pleasantly surprised. The entrance fee is quite reasonable if you take the (more expensive) Rhino card, but with this in hand our daily entrance for 4 persons came to R20.If you plan multiple visits this is the way to go. Most of the roads are tarred and in good condition. I did not expect to see so many kudu. An added bonus is going down to Cape Vidal and taking a dip in the warm Indian ocean. You can't do that in Kruger national park!
