Wholesome and unique art experience in Kuwait
I'd highly recommend making an appointment and devoting a couple of hours to visit this gem of a place - it's the perfect antidote to capitalist consumerism that's all too present in the state of Kuwait. It's always a bonus when you can learn about art from the actual artist who created it, but Lydia takes this experience to a whole different level. She's energetic, spiritual and witty, and together with her daughter she led us on a highly entertaining tour through the house. It's also a very personal experience, as you get to know about the history of the house, and about the intriguing paintings by Lydia's late husband Khalifa. For me, it was a highlight of a two-day visit to Kuwait.

The most unusual site in Kuwait, not to be missed
It is hard to summarize this one. The Italo-Kuwaiti woman, now in her 80s, who designed the outside and inside of the house with mirror mosaics is remarkable and excited to show off her work. The more photos you take, the better she likes it. This really is a fascinating sight, not to be missed.
