    Gr8 B4 1300hrs, OK thereafter...
Kobar Island is one of those places only attainable by boat and/or Jet Ski, albeit the Jet Ski option will most likely leave you wishing you had a boat... We visit the island on a monthly basis with friends and can honestly say that the best time to visit is between 0700hrs and 1300hrs. Why? Simply because the island turns into a grotesque lubed-up meat fest of peacock strutting and steroid induced 'alpha' males stalking the unusually uninhibited and scantily clad equally greased females. Do not make the wrong assumption by picturing a Hawaiian Tropic photo shoot. Far from it. By 1300hrs, the island is overcome by hordes of speedos and bikinis, with the tanning oils in the sea almost on par with the Deepwater Horizon catastrphy. Overall, the 3/4 mile circumferential island offers the early bird a peaceful break from the mainland, with some indigenous wildlife, lovely waters and a nice encircling reef. I would have happily scored the little island a perfect 10, however the afternoon aftermath brings the idyllic safe haven back down to the reality of Magaluf. For the raving reader I recommend an arrival from 1300hrs onwards and the patience of a saint.

    Let's Be Honest...
People go here to party and drink. The average Kuwaiti leaves their trash everywhere and the Island is dirty. Sure, compared to the city it's "clean," but a friend who works for the Kuwaiti Coast Guard would come once a week with a garbage bag and fill a dozen trash bags. Clean up your TRASH PEOPLE! It's a nice place to go and lay in a swimsuit if you are an expat and rented a boat with friends.
