A good place to stop before visiting the Open Air Art Musuem
Zelu krogs Saules Darza (Socks bar) is an interesting place to stop briefly before visiting the Open Air Art Museum. There is a collection of socks, buttons, neckties, dolls, etc. You can also try the owner's homemade wine made from apples in his garden and listen to music on an old gramophone. However, for me the real reason to visit was to talk to the owner and hear his interesting stories. I am not sure how much English he speaks though. I know that he speaks Russian.

no service no food
no one atte ded our table...finally after enquiring inside we were told that food waiting time would be an hour. restaurant was though less than half full. we had lunch sonewhere else.... the nearby museum was not any more welcoming
