Maritime Museum, Kotor Municipality, Montenegro

Very interesting. Simple but informative.

I love museums but I am not a huge fan of maritime museums. This however was really interesting. Small. Displayed over a few floors. Well explained. Simple and interesting without information overload. You don't need longer than thirty to forty five minutes at the most. Clean and well kept.

    Brilliant Museum
This museum is one of many we visited in montenegro and was by far the best. It was also the only one to have some kind of explanation as to what we were looking at really. They also provided a hand held gadget to listen to what each thing was, avaliable in different languages. This was very handy as all the other museums we went to we couldn't fully appreciate as we had no idea what we were looking at really! Definately worth a visit.

    A shelter from the heat
It’s a small museum in an old palace. It shows models of many different ships, some weapons and pictures of local seamen and marines that defended the city. There are a few uniforms and local dresses. The ticket includes an audioguide. It could be a nice hide from the Summer heat, but not much more.
