Independence War Museum
Şehitler Abidesi,Independence War Museum of Konya, is located just opposite of Mavlana Museum next to Ucler cemetery in Konya . This museum has a long entrance path with tall fllagpoles of old Turkish states & empires all over the world. The museum covers 500 square meters closed area displaying special models telling the hard times in war of independence. The walls of the museum also have oil paintings describing the fights and injuries. It has an air condition system inside to prevent the paintings from bad weather harms. It is recommended to visit just a few yards away from Mavlana museum.

This is what I liked most in Konya
I liked Different pictures of Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, The flags in front of Monument. Museum very nice there are miniature displays shows examples from independent war.

STUNNING MEMORIAL TO THE PAST
Beautiful modern building built on traditional lines. Calm and peaceful tribute to those lost in the internal struggles. Highly decorative interior beautifully presented. Some exceptionally good mosaic pictures showing the map of Turkey, battle sites, scenes of battle and a miniature representation of the countryside and peoples lives before and after the conflict. Quite fascinating and well thought out.
