A taste of Germany
Our family has visited several breweries in the Knoxville / Maryville area, all were nice. However the “Schulz Brau” Brewing company is in our opinion the best. Their authentic German menu of food and Beer Is a unique taste experience. The architecture of the building adds to the welcoming atmosphere inside, with its wonderful open courtyard. From the friendly professional staff who waited on us to the owner who genuinely cared about our dining experience, made it a 10. We will be back again and again.

Bit of Germany in Knoxville
While on a weekend trip to Knoxville, we found Schulz Brau Brewing in driving around town. What a pleasant surprise. If you are looking for a good cold brew this is your place. The beers we sampled were excellent quality – their pilsner was clean and crisp, they have multiple beers on tap including the popular IPA’s, but my all time favorite was their Bourbon Barrel Doppelbock. If you like a good dark beer I highly suggest ordering a glass - aged in barrels from Buffalo Trace I believe. They have a very comfortable beer garden area, and you can also order food items. We ordered a pizza which was cooked in their brick oven and very good, but I also saw sausages, pretzels and other items coming out of there that looked amazing. Next visit to Knoxville will definitely include Schulz Brau.

Good selection
Good selection of house made beers and guest taps (10 each). Slow service with only one server and a good-sized crowd. Nice authentic beer garden feel especially outside although it was too chilly to sit outside other than around the fire and that spot was full.
