It requires great attention and careful preservation...
Mert Lake is within the Igneada Longoz (Deep Spot) Forest National Park area and one of the famous 7 lakes... Besides this one Hamam, Saka and Erikli lakes are the most visited ones. Besides from endemic plants and animals there are more than 30 endemic fishes live within these lakes and 8 of them were described as "species in need of protection". For the time being Mert Lake is also used as a kayaking area. So the protection and preservation of the habitat of these natural values has crucial importance. Because, they are not only a rare natural value for Turkey but also for whole world... Let's hope...

Needs cleaning
Beautiful nature but very dirty. Cows all around! Lots of mosqiutos. Not very good restaurants. Nature, sea great
