Night view of Osaka Castle, a whole kind of different experience
Formally the home of the wife of 16th-century Japanese ruler Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the 15-acre Nishinomaru Garden is one of Osaka's most beloved cherry blossom viewing spots, with the Osaka Castle Tower enhancing the backdrop.

Winter illumination at night
Winter illuminations are enhancing your photos of the castle, but it cost 1500 joy to get in... Nevertheless , the park at night or daytime even under the rain is highly recommended. It s utterly romantic , the proportion of the castle are humongous and make you feel the power of the Tokugawa. Stroll at any moment even at night.

Enjoyed the Park
We enjoyed strolling through the park and taking in the surrounding. We have also visited the castle. Personally, the part I enjoyed most is within the park, outside the castle. However, if it is your first time visiting the castle and if you are interested in the history of the castle, you could still pay to enter the castle which functions as a museum now. Nonetheless, it is still a beautiful castle. Do note that the elevator on the ground floor only takes you up to the 5th floor (if my memory serves me correctly) and you have to queue for it. You will have to take the stairs should you decide to go to any other levels. If you are travelling with elderly or companions who may not be able to take the stairs, you may approach the staff and seek assistance. If I am to travel to Osaka again, I will definitely visit the park again especially in a different season.
