Great place, great people
Uhuru museum is an intercultural museum established to depict different culture. The idea born by Mr. Macmilan Siraki an abstract artist and painter. Who while working in his studio in 1986 dreamt, '' Now I am just a curio shop but when I grow up I will become a museum''. From that day he started collecting cultural objects with the vision of moving to the establishment of a museum.

small, but nice museum
It doesn't take too long to wander through this museum, There are some interesting pieces. I was expecting a little bit more.

Perfect for out of the city buzz
I saw ot online and decided to take an afternoon walk there from Moshi town. I used goggle maps for directions. There was no other visitor when i got there so i had all the time and attention. The have a small bar that is fully packed and a really calm environment. The museum is small and has historical documentations of the chagga community. Probably a good place for afternoon walk.
