The Primary Headwater of River Kunhar
Lulusar Lake exists on route from Naran toward Babusar Pass. The drive toward lulusar is mesmerizing in itself as the marvelous River Kunhar flows along the Mansehra-Naran-Babusar-Chillas highway on one side and the mountains covered with lush green plains, Alpine Forest and different crops planted by locals on the other side. It took nearly 2 hours to reach Lulusar, the road is paved and smooth except for some bad patches. Nearly at the distance of 48KM from Naran and situated at the altitude of 11,900 ft. this lake is the primary headwater for River Kunhar and is surrounded by Lulusar mountains. The water of the lake is so clear that it looks like a large mirror in which the surrounding snow-covered mountains can be seen clearly. There are multiple local restaurants serving different snacks, tea and coffee but only open during the tourist season. This lake is a must visit for those visiting Naran. The tourist season starts from April till October with peak tourist visiting in June and July. In winters the route to Naran remains closed due to heavy snow as so does Lulusar Lake. Do remember to bring the camera to have remarkable photography at this place.

Wonderful Lake but unfortunately under estimated
A wonderful lake on road side is a worth. No extra mileage, no extra jeep payment, no hiking required as compared to Saiful Maluk Lake. About one hour drive from Naran (50 km) on a smooth road. I strongly recommend that rise early from Naran, go straight to Lulusar Lake and enjoy the lake at least one hour. Then go to Babusar Top (about 16 k.m more, 40 minutes) spend one hour or more over there. On the return journey, take lunch at Besal (Moon Restaurant). Enjoy Payala Lake on Jalkhad (You have to find it). Then enjoy water fall near Naran, take a cup of tea at Kunhar river and then deep sleep at Naran..
