Local beach spot and great for exercising
The closest beach to my home. Of course a further drive you get to better beach spots but I love parking here and getting my exercise across the bridge. After suffering through the heat, diving into the water in this area is just perfect. Especially during the week days, there's not too many people. Saturday and Sunday is another story, packed with the folks exercising and a few beach goers. Still one of my fav go to areas. I get to workout then relax.

Nice Beach...But
It was a nice beach with ample amount of parking but the disappointment started as I approached the sandy beach area. I am highly aware that items wash ashore and their is no control over pollutants but honestly it looked as if the beach had not been cleaned in months. I took my dog here because it was her first time out in the ocean. It was scary because the water was a bit dark (as shown in the picture) but she enjoyed it.

GREAT place for dogs to run free and swim in the ocean
I was so happy to find a beach that was PRO DOGS! This beach is FREE and is right off the highway in Key Biscayne. It does cost $1.50 to cross the bridge to get there, so make sure you bring cash for that. The beach is on your right, right when you cross the bridge. It is a nice, long stretch of beach. There are food trucks, kayak rentals, paddleboard rentals, etc. You need to bring your own chairs and umbrella if you want. We bring a cooler with our drinks and subs, and enjoy a few hours there relaxing. The water is pretty calm so you can go out and swim. Being that it is a dog beach, it isn't as well kept as the beaches in S.Beach, and has more trash then I would like to see, but it doesn't bother me too much. It doesn't prevent you from walking around and swimming, it is just here and there.
