Peacock Bass and Clown Knifefish

An exceptional day of fishing with Captain Scott Rose. I have fished on over 100 guide trips and this one is at the top of my list. Fantastic variety and numbers and quality fish. Four Clown Knifefish to 6 pounds, ~40 Peacock bass to 5 pounds, 9 Largemouth Bass to 1.5 pounds and some 4 or 5 Oscars for extra credit! If you have the time and resources you can also travel to South America for a chance at monster Peacock with Scott. But if you cannot travel that far and are in the Miami area and want a chance to catch either Peacock or Knifefish, or both, then I highly recommend you contact Scott and schedule a fish trip. It was a trip of a lifetime for me. Three new species of fish for me in one day!

If you want to catch Peacocks Scott is your guy!!!
I rarely get the chance to be out on the water and when I do I really want to be catching rather than fishing. On each of my 3 trips with Scott that is exactly what we have done. At the end of the day not once have I regretted booking a trip with him. Not be be negative but I cant say that about every guided fishing trip I have been on. Before watching JonB and Scott on YouTube I don't even think I knew what a peacock was. Now they are about the only fish I want to catch. I love how these fight and it seems like they never give up and Scott makes it easy to catch them. Scott will tell and show you everything you need to know about the proper way to catch these fish. I strongly recommend choosing the live bait option they simple can not resisted a live shiner to their face. Now picking a place where you want to fish. Twice I have been to the canals with him and this past trip we opted for something new and went out to the everglades. At the canals we caught mostly peacocks and they seems to be a little larger there. You can depend on catching 30-60 fish and I have fished there in mid-February and in mid-March. We caught more fish on bed which is my favorite way to catch them. There is nothing more exciting than finally making that perfect cast and watching a peacock pick up that bait. This last trip me and my nephew opted to head out to the everglades with Scott. I had been keeping up with him on Instagram and kept seeing 100+ fish days. It was a windy day but he knew just where to take us to get out of the wind. Seems like we caught fish every cast. You are going to catch a lot of different species of fish. Peacocks and large mouth were in the majority, but every fish was fun to catch. Having been with Scott before I knew he likes to count fish. I would have been happy with 50 and by 2 hours we had already caught that many. Then we set the goal for 100 and boom we reached that mark with 2 hours to spare. Unbelievable as it may seem the grand total was 158 fish landed. Each trip with Scott I have had so far have been unforgettable. I look forward to other adventurous with him in the future!

    Great Day Catching Peacocks!
Captain Scott is a first rate captain who treats all family members on your trip with respect and professionalism. On top of that, he had us on Peacocks for 4 straight hours of nonstop action. W]e caught 99 Peacock Bass in 4 hours. I would highly recommend him if you are looking to fish for Peacock Bass in the Miami area.
