Please do touch the exhibits

Nice little museum - it seems like a place where bits and pieces were brought together out of passion. I did find out a few things. You can touch just about anything and take photos, while the entrance fee was very cheap as well. It's fun, feels a bit like exploring grandma's attic, maybe if grandma was a nuclear scientist. The entrance is not obvious. Just go where google maps takes you and then enter the building with the mosaics on the left. There is another institution there, but you'll also see the museum.

enthusiastic guides make this a 'must-see'
A small but immensely interesting exhibition of the the issues and challenges faced by Kazakh environmentalists. 2 young ladies, Ann and Irina, guided me through the exhibits, explaining each item with enthusiasm and infectious passion for the topic. Although the exhibition is only the size of a single room, the layout of the items is creative and touching and interacting with the items is encouraged. I paid 250 Tenge for the tour which lasted around 45 minutes. I came away with a better understanding of how recent history of Kazakhstan has shaped its environment, and the challenges its people must make in order to face the future.

    Compact and ingenious exhibition
This museum is small, but well arranged and very interesting. Entrance fee was only 250 KZT, but if you pay an extra 1500 KZT, they show you what is hidden under the floor, in a larger chamber :) Everything can be touched, guides were very, very helpful. And... I don't know any other place where you could touch or hold russian rocket parts in your hand, including a Blok DM upper stage :)
