One of best lakes i have seen so far - Pure Nature absolute Serene

I usually give 5/5 if it has touched my heart and this place has truly touched it. Best thing about this place is - It is less touristy as compared to chuzenji and many people dont know much about this place and so it is an untouched beauty. Very quite lake, mountains all around - greenery and nice road side connectivity. You can sit relax, have a coffee and go for a boating. I would recommend this as a must go place if you are in nikko. Buses are well connected both ways towards Yumoto and towards nikko city. No need for hike/walking trail. I had traveled with my 6mo little one and had no problems .     Beautiful lakeside walk
    This is a beautiful stop while driving through this area's magnificent scenery. There is a lakeside track which allows beautiful views of the lake through lovely forest. We visited in autumn and although the real colour had not travelled as far south as Nikko yet there was enough to make the scenery quite stunning. Well worth an hour or so away from the car to stretch your legs.

    Brilliant in the Winter sun
    Along with many artists, you can enjoy the view of this beautiful lake fed by sulphur springs and other artesian wells as well as melting snow. A must see in the winter.
