Incredible Sunset Views of Tokyo
Visiting on a late Sunday afternoon, we zipped up to the 45th floor to watch the sunset over Tokyo. The observatory wasn’t overly busy so we got great 360 views and thankfully saw a glimpse of Mt. Fuji in the distance. With free entry and a cafe, this was a lovely way to spend a few hours watching the sunset and seeing the world below go by… This feels almost like a hidden gem! Note: It can be easy to miss the entrance as it’s tucked away so recommend Google Mapping your way here!

"I'm the king of the world!"
Well, not really but experiencing Tokyo from this height and location makes you feel like Leo D. in Titanic. I mean, where else would you be about 800 feet in the air looking across the city in every direction? Not only that. Where would you be able to do that for FREE? Seriously. If this was in NYC you'd get charged $40/person and have to wait 40 minutes to get up there. We were a family of four with two kids and arrived at the tower at night. There was a line of about 5 people in front of us. We waited maybe 3 minutes to get on the elevator which quickly jettisoned us to the observation floor. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy night when we visited so we couldn't see clear across the city but it was still stunning to be up that high. It wasn't overcrowded and they even had seating available. The building is so high that I swear I could feel it slightly swaying back and forth from the wind. Would I pay tourist trap prices for this? Probably not. But it's free, so it's definitely worth a visit.
