Mountain sea of people
Successfully booked 4 tickets via the wakuwari discount on a Monday. Arrived at 845am and long queues at Maitama station and also at the entrance gates. BTW no camera tripods allowed in Disneysea. Rides were fully operational and managed to go for multiple rides. Longest queue ~ 60-70 mins for Indiana Jones ride, Tower of Terror and Journey to Center of Earth ride. BTW no eating while in queues. Gather early for 730pm Sea Parade as many people will be sitting at good spots already. Overall, if you have to choose, Disneyland would be more colourful, more music, parade on the streets and more meet&greet Disney characters. No eating in queues.

Fun day out but can be challenging for international visitors
As an international visitor, buying a ticket was almost impossible. Ended up buying them through our hotel the morning of our visit, after the hotel watched us try again and again to purchase online. Surely there is a better system? There is no wifi in the park, which is incredibly annoying when the map and all the details for your day are on an app. We were able to book for a show through the app but the friends we were with couldn’t and missed out. No idea why. The app seems highly flawed. Paying an additional 2000 yen per person for a premier pass to skip the queue is outrageous. The old Fast Pass system was much better. Most rides and shows are catered to a Japanese audience with no English translations. This didn’t bother us really, and we enjoyed immersing ourselves and trying to work the stories out ourselves. On the positives, the people watching is amazing. Some of the rides are amazing. Yes, the queues can be long but as long as you expect it then it’s not too bad. Tower of Terror and Soaring were the highlights for us.
