Small and perfectly formed
I've wanted to visit here for years and on this trip I finally made it. So glad I did. It took about 30 mins from Tokyo station and then 5 mins walk. The displays and descriptions inside were fantastic and really interesting and insightful (no photos allowed though). Outside were more beautiful examples including some 1000 years old and in a small area and from the viewing platforms photos were allowed. I really enjoyed my visit and would like to go back one day.

A Moving Experience at the Omiya Bonsai Museum
Our family of five were there from Hawaii on Friday, May 25, 2018, and we enjoyed viewing the great collection of bonsai. We also walked around the neighborhood of the museum, and enjoyed a few of the private collections. Everyone there were friendly and informative. We met two ladies when we paid our admission fee and one of them mentioned she was coming to Hawaii for a visit. We gave her information she asked us about but unfortunately, we did not get her name and other information so we could communicate with her if she had other questions. Hope we get to meet her again on our next trip to the museum.
