Crowded but fun

This popular street in Harajuku is known for wacky, youth-driven shops selling colorful and crazy clothes and accessories. It's also a paradise for sweets-lovers - don't miss the fluffy, sugary crepes.

    A must see
Wow, this was super busy but with so much going on; it'll take you ages to walk it because you'll keep wanting to stop to look at everything! There's lots of lovely little quirky shops & food stalls, including the crepes which you must try whilst there! Would also recommend trying the photo booths for a bit of fun! Can highly recommend.

    Bumble bee
Because this place is buzzing with activity. It's difficult to compare Takeshita street to anything I've experienced before. It's kind of like Time Square in the sense that there are plenty of tourists, it's kind of like a main street of a smaller town that has been closed and there's a carnival happening, kind of like a busy boardwalk in the middle of the day during the summer. Wrap all those things along with Japanese culture together and you birth Takeshita Street. This is not for those that don't like crowds. If you prefer quiet relaxed strolls through tree lined streets this isn't your scene. The pace here is fast. People are moving constantly in every direction. It's a melting pot of languages, colors, food, clothes, and activities. We had crepes (drooling just thinking about them) then we went to a pet cafe, where we got to hang out with all kinds of furry animals. Finally, we did some souvenir shopping.
