Nice ride

The scenary of the river is breath taking. The boat rider is very enthustic although we don't know what he is talking. We have 5 boats on the day even during weekdays. It is the peak season for red leaves. I recommend to do a reservation online before going. We also tried the sea salt fish at the arrival point. It is really delicious. The boat ride is a must do thing in Kinugawa.

One of the better Kinugawa attractions
This is quite an enjoyable 30-40 minute boat ride down the Kinugawa river. You go through some mild rapids, and there's some chance of getting wet, but nothing too scary. The gorge scenery, however is quite nice, and if you speak any Japanese, the guide at the front of the boat can be quite entertaining. If you're in Kinugawa, this is one attraction that is definitely worth doing. If you're more adventurous, there is also a white water rafting excursion that starts from the same place for ¥7500/person. It looked fun, but we didn't try it.

Nice short ride
Pretty. Only 30 min or so. Good experience. Salted fish cooking at end. Walked to Edo Wonderland but may need to ask vendors for directions as it is obscure.
