Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, Kansas, United States

4.5 (507 reviews) Sunday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Spent Ranking #2 in Overland Park Gardens

Top spot in Overland Park

Visited here on a delightful autumn day. The gardens and trails offer plenty of places to stroll or sit quietly. The Monet area was one of my favorites, and there was still plenty of color on a sunny day in October. I hope to visit again when the leaves are full and the flowers at their peak color.

Beautiful and well worth the visit
My husband and I had free time on a Friday and based on other reviews from Trip Advisor, we headed to the Overland Park botanical gardens for the afternoon. The $3 entrance fee is a bargain and if I lived in the area I would definitely pay for an annual membership. We loved the Monet garden and the cultivated flower beds and the pond. Yes, it was warm and I was glad we brought our own water. The visitor center was closed but the restrooms were open and clean. We spent about an hour exploring and if the temperature had been cooler, we would have stayed longer.

    LOVE
Love this cool place. Just recently went to the luminaries night. The whole place was lighted up with Christmas theme lights totally worth the price to enter. Buy tickets online they do sell out. Dress warm open areas in Kansas tend to get 20 degrees colder. They have a super cool train exhibit. The grounds are beautifully taken care of. You can take a shorter paths along the way too.
