Great Experience!
My wife and I were visiting from Iowa and wanted to do an escape room. After some research, we discovered this was the only place that would allow us to book the room for 2 people without charging us for a whole group of 4+. That was VERY much appreciated! Staff were very friendly and explained the information very well. I really liked the clue system here, allowing us to decide if/when we wanted to use a hint. We did the Sorcerer's Room, and we were very impressed with the layout and theme. We had a great time and made it out with 5 minutes left! If we were from the area, we would definitely be going back to try the other rooms!

A Delightful Change of Pace during a Long Road Trip
This was the second escape room my husband and I have done, and the first at Mastermind. We were worried that there would be gamebreaking problems like our first room (the cypher didn’t line up correctly), but still excited to try to escape. They do a really good job with minding COVID rules, making the escape room feel super personalized. The fact that they ask you to wait until 5 minutes before your time to enter means that although all of the rooms were booked, you felt like the only people there. We were able to escape the room with 3 minutes to spare, and when it seemed like we should have been getting past a puzzle, so the room might have a cypher-like problem, they would check in to make sure it was us being fooled. Rather than immersion-breaking, it was relieving to know that they wanted to make sure everyone in every room was experiencing the rooms as intended. They even accidentally rung our room to double check on another group, and you could tell that they were genuinely invested in the success of the groups. The dedication of the employees was delightful and so encouraging. I only wish that my husband and I had been less whacked-out from driving 6 hours so we could have shown our delight better! It was difficult enough to challenge us, made us feel stupid, and made us feel smart. Definitely worth every penny.
