Interesting temple in the middle of the town.
It is interesting to note that temples for Tua Pek Kong (different countries will spell it differently) can be found all over South East Asia. These temples were built by the Chinese when they emigrated to South East Asia hundreds of years ago to start a new life. Among the first thing they did when they landed in the new land were to build a temple to pray for blessings and protection. In Sarawak where I come from, the temples were usually built by the riverside like what can be seen in Kuching, Sibu, Miri and the other towns. So this one in SIngkawang is unique, being built in the middle of Singkawang City and not by the riverside.The Chinese of Singkawang who are mainly Hakkas actually share many similarities with the Chinese in Sarawak especially from the areas of Bau, Serian and Kuching because in the olden days, when immigration laws were not so strict, they move from Sarawak to Dutch Borneo and vice versa every now and then. So it is interesting to note that you will also find a temple like this in the middle of the town in Bau, Sarawak. Both are Hakka majority towns. Like all other temples,this temple in Singkawang has its fair share of all the beautiful structures and designs as expected and a small garden, fish pond with waterfall and a small pagoda beside the main temple.

SINGKAWANG TOUR
We went there with clients. As adventure Tour operator, we always present the authenticity. One of these tourists objects in the city is Tridharma Bumi Raya temple. My client says that this object is interested, worthy for the money and time visiting this place. We're visiting this place was benefited by the suburban view which was extremely nice. The area is so beautiful peaceful and the most is green. Best regard
