Great visit
Stauning Whisky is a Whisky Distillery located in Stauning by Ringkøbing Fjord in West Jutland. The Distillery was founded in May 2005 by nine friends and is Denmark’s oldest Whisky Distillery. CURIOSITY Reviving classic methods lost to industrialization, Stauning whiskies are all made from local grain that is floor-malted and then distilled in 24 small copper stills using direct heat. These stills produce whiskies whose deep flavours reflect the surrounding landscape of Denmark’s West Coast. WHO IS IT FOR? Stauning appeals to curious whisky drinkers on the hunt for innovation in whisky-making and new flavour experiences. They are open-minded and explore all techniques, categories and expressions of whisky. They are just as happy tasting their fine whisky in an expertly made Manhattan cocktail as they are sipping it neat.

Fantastic Stauning Whisky Tour
Fantastic tour of a small Danish whisky distillery. Our guide Jonas was super and the whole story of this distillery growing from a local idea to a brand is impressive. The location, surroundings and the whole story are worth this tour. Includes 3 whisky tastings of their newest creations. Book in advance - especially on weekends. Has an on-site shop with good deals.

Great tour and ditto whiskies !!
The guided tour of this small, innovative yet traditional whisky distillery was a great experience. I wasn't a whisky fan but I'm converted! Mette (our storyteller) did a great job (informative, fun and had lots of time for questions). I know so much more about whisky now. We tasted 3 very different whiskies which were all really good and left with goodies from the shop that we'll enjoy until we visit again.
