    Slow art in Hune
We visited on a day with not so many people, and there was time and space to take it easy, enjoy the art works, watch the movies and talk about the details. Amazing place. Big area for children to practice right next to the cafe area. Shop with paper based bags and boxes and lots of paper art.

    A positive paper experience
I went there with my two girls (aged 12 and 18) and my mother. We have read about the HC Andersen paper artwork beforehand and wanted to experience that particular piece and all the rest. And, indeed, it was ”all the rest” that was the real experience of the museum. More on this in a minute. I think we all had expected more from the HC Andersen exhibition. In a news article, it said the one piece was on display, but we actually overlooked it when we came. It is right at the beginning of the museum and we were perhaps not paying attention to the posters and the montre at first. Several different psaligrapic artists are on display. Each very different in their expression. All of them very different, very fascinating, and using different media. A mixture of music, poetry, and visual effects perfectly interwoven with the psaligraphic pieces. Who knew that music, poetry, and paper could be combined and express so many emotions and stories? At the center of the museum is a collection of artwork from the artist Bit Vejle. Fascinating artwork and so many details and stories. Do yourself the favor of reading the stories of the pieces in the book you get at the counter. It really adds another interesting layer to the paper pieces. As mentioned, the HC Andersen part of the exhibit was very small and we completely missed the piece by the author so we had to return. And it was a thrilling experience to look at a piece of paper that HC Andersen had actually held in his hands. It is a very special experience. A couple of facts: it is not very large and not suited for kids with no interest in arts and storytelling. There is a small café and a small workshop where you can try cutting your own masterpiece. We did not go there (too crowded in these Corona-times).
