Get there without crowds for great photos

30ft high sculpture - Man of the Sea. This area of the town is being regenerated. It’s a great stop after Tirpitz. I think it’s all about timing so you can get to play on the statues without loads of crowds. We arrived at 2.30pm and it was empty. The car park is small and has a loo. On the other side of the car park is part of the WW2 Atlantic wall defences

Big statues and that is it :)
Would I make a trip just to see them? No. But if you are in the area, you should definitely make a stop and see them. They are big and kind of impressive. Good "aim" for a walk from the city centre - get some fresh air and do a stop at the "Fiskernes Mindelund Esbjerg" which will be on the way.

    Worth a picture opportunity
We visited here yesterday in the driving wind and rain. Still I’m glad we drove out of our way to see them and to capture the pictures. Easy parking right off the road. I would not say that this was walking distance from the city center. Not from the city center I was in anyway. The weather might play a part in my opinion about the walk. Still go get your picture by the big white guys.
