Very interesting and worth a visit
Good parking facilities just next to the museum. It is several buildings and easy to find the things you are interested in. Entry fee is only 60 kr. and reception give you a map and explain where the different areas are and when there are free guided tours. We did the guided tour and the historian Ole Pukgaard - hope I remember his name correctly - was very good. He new something about the machines for electricity and the history about it. Quite interesting how slowly this came to Denmark and how we take it for granted though it has only been around a little over 100 years. There is also a house where there are flats decorated like the 1880s, 1910s, 1940s, 1960s og 1990s - it was fun to see and Ole had some good facts and stories about how people lived back then. It made it easier to understand how people have lived and much more interesting too. We also went to the bank which is set in the 1930s. Interesting too and fun to see. Like being in an old movie. On the first floor in the main building there is s street with shops like in the 1950s. That was fun too because you could visit the shops and touch the different things and smell what it was like in a barbar shop og tobacco shop. We didin't have much time there - less than 2 hours - so I would advise planing to spend 3-4 hours there if you want to see it all. There was also something about the history of clothing, cigarettes, sports etc. and we didn't have time to see that We went there as a couple, but we have decided we will take the children there too (they are 8 and 11 years old), because things like the street, the bank and the different flats would be interesting for the children to see.

    Early Industry Memorabilia
So many things to see from the early industrial revolution. Very interesting setup. Retired tour guides if you request one. Will even start up old steam engines!
