30 minutes from Marriott Vacation Club
Very cool walk in the park. Cool as in temperature - completely shaded and temperature seemed dramatically less than surrounding area. Cool as in all the animals in a great setting, even had a presentation by a naturalist about a variety of their animals. Cool as in it was free - they accept donations and we gave significantly. What great way to spend a few hours admiring and appreciating nature.

Nice visit for a family. Zoo? Sanctuary?
This attraction is a very nice stop for a family with young children and a nice way to spend an hour or two for couples who are staying nearby and don’t need another afternoon at the beach. I think that the zoo aspect of the sanctuary is what most people are exposed to and I wish it would be possible to see more of the work being done to save abandoned and injured animals. The volunteers are all wonderful people and believe in what they are doing to help. perhaps when the move to new quarters in a year or two we will see a more complete picture of the work being done.
