Loved Walking Around at Night

We went in late March 2021 and they had many new light displays set up. It is very busy near the shops and Confucious Temple areas but just past this it is nice. Many boats traverse the river for the displays but we enjoyed just walking around the river area so that we could take our time seeing it all. Most of the area is free to walk around but if you like lanterns and light displays we would recommend checking out Bailuzhou Park nearby. Closest metro is Confucious Temple Station and I would recommend going in the evening. Shops start to close around 9:00 pm and they kept the lights on until around 10:00 pm on a Monday evening when we went.

    Night is too Young
Must have a boat ride along the river , Night is very beautiful and more colorful all around this area. They have decorated the boat very well. I enjoyed well. Recommended to visit there in the evening or night.

    Just artificial
Qin Huai River is the biggest branch of Yangtze River in Nanjing. Many litterateurs and poets in Chinese history gave their beautiful words on it. Unfortunately, the river has lost its old elegance and beauty. There are only crowded people, tourist boats, and rebuilt, fake old buildings. In the evening, all the boats, buildings and bridges were light up. Seems beautiful, but just artificial. Quite a pity to see it become a superficial tourist attraction.
