Interesting History Museum
Housed in the former Japanese consulate this museum has interesting displays about the history of Mokpo and the building. It's a good place to start your visit to Mokpo as it covers the history of some other attractions and the view from the gardens give a good overview of the town. Make sure to visit the former WWII bomb shelters at the rear of the building.

nice building with sad history
building itself is gorgeous and tiny but you will soon forget its strength due to the sad history

History of the city
Cultural center is known also as modern history museum hall 2 Is located on a hill in old city of Mokpo. You can see the foundation rock of city and the opening announcement of city as well. Moreover various items of Japanese era and an interactive map of city's growing up.
