Fascinating learning experience
This museum exhibits a great many wayang kulit, two-dimensional puppets used in the ancient art of Javanese storytelling.

Check it out
Located in Fatahilla Square, this museum only cost Rp5,000 per person. It has displays with written explanations in English of the history and cultural significance of puppetry in Indonesia. There were no performances at the time of our visit (maybe pandemic related?). We spent about 40 minutes exploring the museum. Not bad for a small museum and the inexpensive entry fee.

Legend of Indonesia
It was my first time entering puppet museum. The experience was unique, a little scary of those scary puppets. Honestly I don't really like it but I respected it. It was the legend of Indonesia. Actually in Malaysia we do have similar museum. There was a tour guide explaining the history of the puppets. Quite interesting. The tour took about about 30 minutes and freely to visit around the other side of the museum. There was a free puppet show but in another building, The room was rather small to cater a big crowd so some of us were sitting on the floor. The show was interesting.
