Breathtaking view
I visited this waterfall from Surabaya. It spend more than 4 hours to location. At the parking area there were many motorbike rider offered us ride to the waterfall. We can take a walk but the path is quite uphill and will spend more time. The view was really breathtaking from the view point terrace. The waterfall was located like in a big hole surrounded by trees. You may go down to the waterfall if you have enough time and strong enough to go down and up the stairs from the view point terrace.

Superb spot but challenging trek
We arranged this through our tour guide. We were introduced to a local guide Roland onsite who was a GREAT help. Highly recommend that you have a local guide to guide you through the terrains as they are challenging and slightly dodgy at certain parts. Roland was there to literally hand hold us at more challenging parts, and also tel us where to put our footing, or areas to beware due to slippery surfaces. For someone that does not regularly exercise, this was rather tedious and you can be prepared for some minor scraps and bruises (you won’t have serious injuries as long as you follow your guide instruction). We took 3 hours through the main waterfall, and some other smaller ones and cave. We felt exhausted and had muscle aches after the trek. The photo spots were well worth it though, and another perk of a local guide is that they know the best spots for photos. Do wear good trekking shoes or sandals with grip as that is key to prevent injuries. I would suggest wearing longer sports leggings instead of shorts to prevent any further scraps on your knees against the rocks when you need to manoeuvre through different parts etc. Wear clothes that you can dry off quickly as you are certain to get soaked, there is also an opportunity to dip in one of their smaller waterfall area. Not recommended for young kids or older folks, some level of agility and fitness is required as there is no way to give up midway.
