Local island with beautiful scenery
Came here on early nov with my families. Took the speedboat from Ancol (300k/pax oneway). The journey less than 2hrs. Arrived at the island we rented motorcycle during our trip. The beach are quite dirty but when we took private boat for full day, it was worth taking. The scenery was amazing and we went for snorkeling at few spots, definitely will come back again. We stayed at decent homestay with aircon. No amenities in the room, you better bring your own bodywash, shampoo, towel and most importantly is the conditioner! In the island, there's nothing much you can do, as the island was small and crowded. I strongly recommend that you rent a boat for island hopping. However, it was beautiful experience for me and my families.

Worth every second
I visited the island on last Ramadhan season. Departed from Muara Angke boat jetty at 08.00 AM. The ride took about two and a half hour by a traditional boat. I had no expectation about this island, since I didn't do any research prior to my travel unlike my previous travels. Surprisingly, the island was so small, we can make a trip around the island by bike for just an hour. There were no car, only bicycles, motorbikes, and Bentors (rickshaw powered by a motorbike). The life on the island seems very tranquil, the people were nice, the food were good for a reasonable price considering it is a tourism attraction. The island's main attraction are water activities e.g. snorkeling, banana-boat riding, jet skiing, etc. The water was very clear and shallow so I imagined I had a waterproof smartphone so I could throw it to the water to make an excuse to jump into it.

nice place to relax
in the middle of july I was at the tidung island with some friends I met in jakarta. we got there by boat from jakarta early in the morning. you can't reserve tickets, so usually you have to be there early, but it was the start of the fasting month, so there haven't been a lot of people. It took about 2 hours to get to the island. The island was nice someone pick us up from the peer and brought us to the beach there is also the possible to stay in little rooms for one night. as we arrived we went snorceling and took a ride on the banana boat. you can also get by another boat to a very nice place for snorceling. Tidung island are two islands connected by a bridge and it's fun to jump from that bridge. finally we eat something at a tiny little "restaurant" it was really good and cheap. at around 5 we drove back with the boat and we saw a nice sunset from the top of the boat. all in all tidung is a place which is worth to visit for a one or two day trip.
