Potent Air of Mysticism
By the time this temple was built at the end of the 15th century, much of Java's coastal areas had already converted to Islam. Therefore, Candi Sukuh marks the end of Java's period of Hindu temple building. As other reviewers have noted, it is so different from the temples on the plains, that it really seems to belong to another culture. No Buddhist serenity here. Strange and even grotesque mythical creatures appear in the carvings, as do sexually explicit carvings. Perhaps this truncated pyramid was some kind of fertility shrine. Surrounded by flowering shrubs and leafy trees, it is still a lush and fertile place today. The whole complex has a potent mystical air and is highly recommended.

The location is on the hill, The air is fresh and on the way to go there you can see tea plantation. But not easy to find toilet or good restaurant in this tourist attraction. You only can find "warung"
