Great place to visit, the kids loved it & so did we. Very good value.
We spent about 1/2 a day at Sea World & found it very good value for money. It's not a huge, expensive place like the western Sea Worlds - it's a smaller, very inexpensive diversion for a few hours. The kids loved the piranhas - you get to see them devour their food, with a clock counting down how long it takes. There are plenty of touch pools where the kids can touch various marine animals, and an aquarium with some good sized sharks. My favourite thing, though, was the 'fish dip' spa where you could put your feet into the pool & have the tiny fish nibble off the dead skin from your feet - they really tickle! We also ate at the foodcourt there & had some great rice & noodles which were very cheap.

An great experience but animals welfare is sad
To be honest, it's a mixed feeling when i visit Seaworld Ancol today. The pro side:Here you will be able to see each tank residents clearly ( as most of the exhibit without aqua-scaping), the feeding session of main tank is interesting, the Deep sea specimen exhibition are wonderful, eel tank is magnificent. The not so fun to watch is: Touch pool involved protected species of sea turtle ( both green sea turtle and Hawksbill sea turtle). The touch pool is so small and water quality is bad. You can see the water in the turtle pool is light brown, one of the turtle has red eyes ( poor baby)!!!! I was informed this is a govt aquarium, so i am not sure why they allowed such protected species to be placed in very poor condition. Its not even an exhibit, its a touch pool. Another part, touch pool placed the black tip reef shark!!!!! Come on, this shark its not supposed to be inside a touch pool, its supposed to be in the main tank or inside the wonderful tunnel you have. I hope their management will read this and do something about the feedback. You have a well-planned aquarium, and you guys are sea world!! The team really have to revised their exhibits and take into consideration the roles of aquarium in educating public about animals which lead to conservation effort. As for today visit, i can only relate this place is more entertainment than than educational.
