Merapi Volcano, Java, Indonesia

Good Experience ! A must go place

One of the top place to visit when you in Jogja. I ride a Jeep early in the morning , enjoying mountain view which is very scenic, cold air, clean river, enjoying sunrise. You can see active volcanos, trace back Mbah Marijan (ex Mt Merapi watchmaker) and mount erupted remains, ex Mbah Marijan house's With the nice view and cold brew air on the mountain, you can take many pics to bring back home.

    The View was Stunning!
Rented a jeep with a driver up the mountain. It's quite adventurous as we requested the driver to give us more thrill and he drives super crazy and we liked it! The view right on top is just so mesmerizing and stunning. The area is also quite cold and breezy. A MUST VISIT during a trip to Yogyakarta. Let the photos talk for itself =D

    Enjoyed the jeep ride
Nice first time experience for us to ride in an open jeep, standing and enjoying the pleasant mountain breeze and scenic beauty of the mountain and nature. We got to see the huge human-faced rock that fell here at this spot after being thrown out of the volcano that was 7km away. You get an idea of the power of the Volcano. Other than that, the mountain peak itself wasn't clearly visible to us on that day as it was cloudy. Also, got to see the bunker that was constructed to protect the local villages from sudden volcanic ash. Overall, a good experience for us.
