Would recommend using the train
We got the train from Gambir station to Bandung. The train is very comfortable, air-conditioned and very spacious. The seats are in rows of 2 and recline back. There is a toilet on the train and they serve food and drinks. Our 3 Euro journey cost approx 12 Euro each.

Efficient and easy to navigate
Excellent long distance train travel in Java. Executive class is as good as luxury on the trains which offer it but take a blanket as it has excellent air conditioning and so it can get cool on a long journey. Take your own snacks but their is food and beverage available on the train.

Big central train station
It's one of big , comfortable, citycenter train station , where you can get on,off intercity train to anywhere on jVa island ans commuter trains to connect whole jakarta metropolitan. The station itself has 3 storeys with lifts and escalators, restaurant, waiting area are spacious. Toilets are superclean. When walking pass the exit door, there are taxistand, that you can take on metered taxi without scam. And you can walk out to the main street to take becak, ojek or transjakarta bus station. It's next to monas monument in the merdeka square public park.
