Love to see all the people outside the Mosque

We loved to walked around and visit the square at the Grand Mosque. The Mosque is really beautiful from the outside. Love to see all the people on the green and children playing on it. In the surroundings you have a lot of shops and historical buildings to see.

    Peaceful and welcoming
    We were made to feel very welcome at this mosque and were provided with free cover-up robes and a keyed locker to store our shoes while we explored the mosque. From the entry door on Jaan Asia Afrika and throughout the mosque the workmanship was amazing. Tiled panels on the arched gateway, carved doors, tiled dome, and beautiful stained glass. It was cool inside, and there was no charge for entry or for the use of the robes. Sadly, despite it being an appointed day we were unable to access the minaret for a view of the surrounding city.

    Best Place to Gather, Play, and Pray in the Center of Bandung City
    The Grand Mosque of Bandung is a mosque in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The architecture is middle-east domed style, so it's usual and not so unique. The interesting thing about this place are: 1. Twin minarets, each 81 meter high (19th floor). The top of the minarets are open to public and people can see aerial view of Bandung from there. 2. Alun-Alun (Square) merged with the mosque. This 1,200-square-meter park is wrapped in synthetic green grass. People are gathering, playing, and have fun here. The square also has facilities such as a children's playground, library, and WiFi networks. It makes combination between a place of worship and a place for gathering and playing. It's definitely a best place to Gather and pray in the center of Bandung city
