100% worth it
Totally worth to pay a visit, evn for people who don't know who is Afandi. I had a very pleasant visit and had a chance to get to know him through his work and a really friendly guide. Not mentinoning the unique architecture that encapsulate the whole experience perfectly.

Hidden Secret of Jogja
to me, its a must view places in Jogja. its give you a great over view on one of Indonesia's most famous artist. Great works from him and his family is on display

Great little gem in Jojga!
I have to admit not knowing anytjing about this artist before we stepped in, but it was a lovely place with some interesting quirks. I've read some of the other reviews who complain about no guided tours, soulless staff, poor maintenance, etc. And there is some truth to that.....these things could be improved. BUT this place is great and well worth a visit. The building itself is fabulous, with a Gaudi-like feel to the place, particularly the old swimming pool, and then the art is really interesting, showing one of Indonesia's greats in all his glory. We came with our teens and they enjoyed it. It's just enough art to keep the interest without going overboad. Yes, things could be improved with better maintenance and a nicer gift shop BUT please give this a go while you're here. You'll enjoy it.
