Visnjan Observatory, Istria, Croatia

Cool knowledge
This was one of the location we visited during the 7 day trip. Since we had a guide, we had the opportunity to have a smal presentation about Višnjan, univers, stars, and the biggest star in our galaxy, the Sun. We also saw Sun through the special telescope. It was really fun. I recommend going with guide!

Brilliant trip
Really friendly people when myself and my friend arrived unplanned just to see it from the outside in the daytime. Luckily for us they were inside making technical adjustments in preparation for a lunar eclipse to track and asteroid but they let us in and once they realised my background was in lasers and laminar air flow they were delighted and we had a great conversation and showed us loads. It is only open to visitors every Thursday night from 9pm to 10.30pm as far as I could tell but planning to bring the kids to the open show tomorrow night.
